One of three individuals under investigation in connection with Liam Payne’s death has reportedly expressed a desire to assist police with their enquiries.
The passing of One Direction member Liam Payne last month sent shockwaves around the globe leaving countless fans devastated. Following the unexpected death of the 31-year-old, three individuals were arrested as Argentinian police and prosecutors sifted through a wealth of evidence to determine the cause of his death.
Reports at the time suggested that Liam, who fell from the third-floor balcony of his Buenos Aires hotel, was under the influence of an illegal substance and the investigation remains ongoing.
Earlier this month, it was revealed that three people had been taken into custody in relation to the singer’s death. Now, Braian Nahuel Paiz, who is reportedly under investigation and has been arrested in connection with Liam’s death, has spoken out in an interview with US Weekly, an American magazine.
He informed US Weekly: “I want to contribute everything: my phone, everything to the investigation. I have nothing that can harm me. The other thing is to contribute what I saw personally and what I experienced firsthand,” he said, reports the Mirror.
Following Liam’s death in Argentina, prosecutors have charged three individuals, including Braian, with various offences. One individual faces allegations related to “the abandonment of a person followed by death”.

Charges against a hotel staffer and another person pertain to drug supply. All three accused vehemently deny the claims.
Braian recounted briefly encountering Liam on two occasions, explaining to the outlet: “We met up with Liam, [it was] chill. We met, we listened to some music. He asked me what kind of music I liked, hip hop or dance. I told him dance.”
The alleged suspect cited his role at a local eatery as the reason for their introduction. Subsequently, the celebrity apparently contacted him privately via a “burner” Instagram account.

Despite admitting to visiting Liam’s accommodation, he refuted any allegations of providing drugs to the star. “No, we just saw each other. The person who was there before [me], I suppose, left him the box of soap and everything [that smuggled the drugs up to his room],” he said.
He recounted how Liam had asked him to leave upon someone else’s arrival at the hotel. He elaborated: “I don’t know what was going on, what was that. I realized, because I had my back turned and he turned around, what was going on. I turned around, got up, opened the door and there was no one.”
Upon hearing of Liam’s death, he was quoted as saying: “It was really bad. I got really sad, really bad at work. … It took everything from me.”
