Man stabbed in Ilford half a mile from the place physique of a 24-year-old lady was discovered within the boot of a automotive in separate homicide investigation

A man has been stabbed in Ilford on the same day police launched a murder investigation after the body of a 24-year-old woman was found in the boot of a car in the same area.

Police were called to Ilford High Road, near to the Redbridge Council building, today at 5.25pm.

A man, 18, was found with injuries but his condition is currently unknown.

Officers have cordoned of the road and a crime scene is in place. However at this early stage, no arrests have been made.

Shortly after midnight on Thursday, cops found the body of a woman on Brisbane Road next to a park in Ilford, east London, roughly a half mile away from where the man was stabbed today.

Police were responding to reports from colleagues in Northamptonshire raising concerns about the welfare of a woman. She was believed to be in a car in the east London area.

A forensic tent has been placed over the vehicle and access to the park blocked off, locals have said.

No arrests have been made but police are treating the woman’s death as suspicious.

Police previously said the incident is believed to be isolated and there is no wider threat to the public.
