Michael has confirmed Davina is out of surgery and ‘recovering in ICU’.
Sharing a health update following her surgery, Michael said that the operation was ‘text book’ and she was grateful for everyone’s support.
He wrote: ‘Hey all, Davina is out of surgery and according to the surgeon it was textbook!
‘She’s currently recovering in ICU as a precaution, as you can imagine she’s utterly exhausted.’
Michael added: Thanks so much for all the love from everyone on here… it’s super powerful stuff, we are super grateful. Michael xx’
Davina explained that she received the diagnosis by chance after booking in for a ‘health scan’.
Davina said in a video: ‘I was offered a health scan which I thought I was going to ace but it turned out I had benign brain tumour which is very rare, three in a million.
‘I slightly put my head in the sand for a while, I saw a few neurosurgeons, had quite a lot of opinions and realised I needed to take it out.

‘It’s quite big, it’s 14mm wide and it needs to come out because if it grows it would be bad. I’m having it removed.’
She added: ‘Say a prayer for me. I’m in good spirits.’
Davina explained that while she was at no immediate risk, doctors were concerned that the tumour could grow larger and cause complications.
She revealed she had been feeling ‘up and down’ and explained she would be in hospital for at least nine days before coming home.
While she has known of the diagnosis for a few months, Davina hasn’t allowed it to slow her down and she was pictured last week enjoying a night out at Garnier’s celebration hair mask party.
A colloid cyst is a slow-growing tumour typically found near the center of the brain. The benign growth contains gelatinous material.
They are often asymptomatic and found incidentally during imaging tests.
If symptoms do occur as the tumour grows, they are commonly reported to include headaches that are most severe in the morning upon waking, nausea and blurry vision, with other key signs including vertigo and double vision.
Most patients present with headaches, although other symptoms including vertigo, memory problems and double vision can occur.
If large enough, a colloid cyst obstructs the movement of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the brain which leads to a high risk of sudden death.
Davina’s partner Michael Douglas uploaded the video for her, captioning the post: ‘Hey everyone. Michael here. She will be “off grid” for a bit while she recovers from this brain operation.
‘She is in great shape and in very good hands. I’ll do the odd update from her account here for anyone interested.

‘I’m sure she’ll read all the comments when she’s able to so feel free to send love ❤️ . The support of people is amazingly powerful. Have a great day everyone. Michael xxx’.
Following her announcement, celebrities including Amanda Holden, Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts and Olympic heptathlon gold medallist Dame Denise Lewis reached out to the presenter.
Amanda said: ‘Sending so much love,’ while former Big Brother winner Kate Lawler wrote: ‘I’m in awe of your positivity Davina. Wishing you all the love and healing prayers post surgery. See you soon.’
Davina and Michael first met when he styled her hair during her time presenting Big Brother, which she worked on from 2000 until 2010.
They turned their friendship into romance during the summer of 2019.
A source told The Sun at the time: ‘The romance blossomed from a place of friendship and trust and the couple are just enjoying each other’s company and having a laugh.’
‘Davina especially likes Michael’s sense of humour and kind nature. It’s fairly early days but Davina’s mates think Michael is a good guy.
‘Davina feels ready to move on now after her marriage split and is really happy.’
The couple confirmed in January 2023 they had moved in together just before Christmas.
The first of their traditions as a pair living together was watching the King’s Speech on Christmas Day afternoon.
Davina is passionate about health and fitness and is in the shape of her life after devoting herself to ritualistic daily workouts
Speaking on their podcast Making The Cut , Davina admitted : ‘I am quite enjoying as a new couple doing new things, because we are newly living together.
‘It’s quite nice making new traditions because we did that before Christmas, we sat down together and talked about it: ”Ok, blank space, what shall we make tradition from now on?”
But earlier this year, Davina said the pair had no plans to tie the knot, adding that they are both ‘happy’ as they are.
Explaining that they were both keen to not ‘rock the boat’, Davina said that getting hitched was ‘off the table’.
‘We’re not interested. I knew Michael for so many years [before we got together] that there were no questions to ask like that. I know him. It was easy’, she said.
Davina confirmed she her separation from husband Matthew Robertson in November 2017, when she told MailOnline: ‘I am very sad to say that Matthew and I have separated.
‘Our amazing children are our number one priority, above everything else so therefore we ask for as much space and respect from the media as possible while our family goes through this difficult time.’
The former couple have three children together, Holly, 22, Tilly, 20, and 17-year-old son Chester.
They married at a lavish ceremony at Eastnor Castle, in Hertfordshire, in 2000.
Davina has battled with several health issues including drug addiction.
She revealed in December 2023 she had avoided alcohol for 30 years, and gave up sugar completely when her sister Caroline died of lung cancer in August 2012, while admitting to having become more ‘gentle’ with herself in recent years.
She told Good Housekeeping: ‘I’m quite often all or nothing as a person. I haven’t had a drink in 33 years. I’ve spent my life being quite rigid with myself.’
But her best friend Sarah Hiscox had to lock her in a car to call out her drug use, which lead to her getting clean, she said.
The former Big Brother host has previously given an insight into her health and fitness regime as she spoke about how exercise is important for her mental health
Davina said in 2019 that she is too busy with her responsibility as a working mum to devote her life to the gym, despite concerns from fans about her ‘addiction’ to exercise
Sarah pretended to drive her to Santana before taking the opportunity to call out her friend’s drug problem, which proved to be the turning point for Davina.
The former Big Brother host is also known for being a fitness fanatic, and says she exercises for ‘three or four times a week for a minimum of half an hour, but no more than 40 minutes because I don’t have time’.
Her lean physique, frequently displayed on Instagram, had previously sparked concern among fans, with many claiming she looks emaciated, ill and underfed as a result of her dedication to personal fitness.
But Davina has dismissed suggestions that she is addicted to the gym, telling Health and Wellbeing in 2019 that she was too busy as a working mother to dedicate her life to exercising.
‘Because of my busy schedule, the most I can do is three to four times a week, but the minute I retire or the kids leave home or whatever, I’d love to work out daily. I don’t see what’s wrong with it’, she said.
‘I’d love to do an hour every day, whether it be a walk, or a cycle, or a swim – just to keep moving.’
