Tesco has given Baileys lovers a reason to celebrate this festive season.
According to Tesco’s Christmas Trends Report 2024, the popular beverage is a top choice for host gifts and the second most popular gift for friends and family.
This makes it an ideal time to stock up on Baileys, which is perfect for seasonal recipes like Festive Eton Mess or an Irish Cream Chocolate Yule Log. From Tuesday, November 19, Tesco is offering 1L bottles of Baileys at their lowest price of the year.
Until December 9, Clubcard holders can grab a bottle for just £10, saving 54 percent (£12). Tesco’s Christmas delivery slots also opened last week, with eager shoppers queuing from the early hours.
Priority slots were available from November 5, but regular customers can now secure their slots as of 6am on November 12. Booking a Tesco Christmas slot is simple.
Just head over to the Tesco website, book your chosen slot and then continue with your food shopping online as usual. You can make any changes to your order up until your selected slot, reports the Express.
Tesco is offering two options for home delivery – a ‘fixed one hour slot’ or a ‘flexi saver slot’, giving customers a one-hour window on their delivery day. However, the click and collect service only provides a fixed one-hour window.
Currently, Tesco’s Christmas food slots are open from November 12 to December 20 for home delivery, and until December 22 for click and collect. Slots are available in the morning, afternoon, and evening, but they’re being snapped up quickly.
Delivery slots aren’t free, with prices ranging from £3 to £7 for regular shoppers, depending on the chosen time and date. Click and collect is slightly cheaper, costing between £1 and £3.
For those who’d rather not pay for online food shopping, Tesco’s Delivery Saver Pass could be a good option. This monthly subscription removes the need to pay for an online slot.
The supermarket charges just £4.99 a month for a six-month ‘off-peak’ pass, while its ‘Anytime’ pass costs £7.99 per month for six months. The pass is also available for the click and collect service, costing £2.49 per month for six months.
However, shoppers should consider if their weekly online shopping justifies the costs. More details can be found on the Tesco website.
