Vapers planning on breaking the regulation when ban on addictive gadgets is available in June

A disposable vape ban is coming into place and vapers are so addicted to the devices, many have said they will be willing to break the law to get their hands on one.

The ban is coming into place on June 1 next year to prevent people from purchasing the products which are said to be harmful to the environment. Around £7.7m disposable vapes were sold every single week in 2023 and now the ban is coming into place, Vape Superstore has run a survey to see how vapers will react.

They expect 6.9% will continue to buy disposable vapes on the black market. According to the survey, things would be even more dire if the Government was to ban flavoured vaping liquids. If they were to do this then 15.1% said they would go to illegal ends to get them.

66% of vapers mainly smoke disposable vapes, meaning the ban will have a massive effect. In fact, 14% are planning on going back to smoking. A staggering one in three of those surveyed said that they would start smoking cigarettes if all the liquids were banned.

Despite this, David Phillips from Vape Superstore isn’t too worried about the ban. After all, 35% said they would simply move to reusable vapes.

He said: “We now have confirmation that disposable vapes will no longer be available as of the June 1 (2025). Far from signalling the end of anyone’s vaping journey, we believe that the disposable ban will drive vapers to embrace more sustainable options like refillable vapes and pre-filled pod kits. Reusable vape kits offer the same effortless convenience at much lower cost.

For the past two years, Vape Superstore has been educating its customers on vaping alternatives available for a transition to more sustainable vaping.

The added: “We offer expert advice and the UK’s widest range of reusable pod kits and vape pens as well as thousands of e-liquids, to ensure that no-one is left behind when disposables disappear on the June 1. Disposables are out, but reusable vaping has never been easier.”
