A pair of top female British wrestlers settled their differences after a week of slinging mud via the Daily Star. TNA talent Harley Hudson and ex-WWE NXT UK star Aleah James battled it out at Burning Heart Pro Wrestling’s Wolverhampton show on Saturday.
The duo had spent most of last week taking shots at each other on the Daily Star’s YouTube channel and on social media. It started when James, 27, had some choice words for her opponent who won TNA’s female Gut Check competition earlier this year. James told us: “I know she has a lot to say, and thinks highly of herself – I would love for her to show me what she’s got because I’m ready. I’ve been doing my research, so I hope she’s been doing hers.”

Those words appeared to have angered the scouse powerhouse, with Hudson taking to social media to hit back at James. The current Phenomenal Elite Wrestling Women’s Champion and former TNT Women’s Tag Team Champion as part of Scouse and Proud with Lizzy Evo said: “Aleah James, you really thought you ate with that, didn’t you?
“I’ve seen what you’ve been saying about me in the Daily Star as if I’m even bothered that you think I think highly of myself – you know absolutely nothing. You’ve been on holiday doing cross-fit, doing cartwheels, while I’ve been here in England wrestling 149 matches this year and I have the displeasure of making you my 150th.”

And that 150th match ended in victory for Hudson, watched on by a packed out crowd at the Wolverhampton Astoria.
Also on the card was another ex-WWE star in Trent Seven who beat British wrestling standout Kid Lykos, while AEW stars Grizzled Young Veterans – James Drake and Zack Gibson – defeated Kenny Williams and Drake’s brother Rob.
Charlie Sterling picked up an impress four-way win over Ben Rodgers, Joe Blazr and Lando Riley, while Mark Haskins picked up a win over TNA’s Leon Slater. Kid Lykos II beat Joe Kessler as well, while the main event saw FSU – Eddie Dennis and Mark Andrews – become new BHPW tag team champions by beating Robbie X and Zachary Wentz.
