Southampton manager Russel Martin has relieved the pressure of a potential sacking by heading on a luxury getaway with stunning Page 3 partner Lucy Pinder.
Saints are currently rock bottom of the Premier League having picked up just one win in the first eleven games. Martin’s side have lost nine times and supporters are becoming increasingly frustrated with his lack of a plan B.
During their promotion-winning season, they became known for their attractive possession-based style of play which might have worked in the second division but hasn’t in the top flight. If Southampton are to have any hope of turning their season around and climb to safety then they might need to be more pragmatic.

While it might not be as pleasing to the eye it could bring results and potentially save Martin’s job, with the 38-year-old one of the favourites for the sack heading into the international break.
The pressure doesn’t seem to be getting to him though after he was recently pictured on a luxury getaway with girlfriend Lucy Pinder.

Pinder is a die-hard Saints fan and started seeing first-team gaffer Martin back in the summer he parted ways with his wife Jasmine. The 40-year-old model was a regular feature on the pages of lads’ mag titans such as FHM and Loaded years ago so is used to the spotlight.
The couple opted for a UK break rather than jetting off for some winter sun and spent some quality time in Cornwall by the beach enjoying a nice stroll and posing for pictures.
Even if Saints supporters are beginning to lose faith in his methods, Pinder certainly isn’t. The Sun revealed back in August that the pair were ‘mad for each other’ and grew intimate after initially becoming friends.
Martin is safe for now and will take charge of Southampton’s next game at home to league leaders Liverpool on Sunday. They won’t be expected to get anything from it given how well the Reds’ have started, but a Friday night clash against Brighton follows and a defeat could pile the pressure back on.
