Omaze reveals how a lot it is going to value to run £3m ‘Hollywood Hills’ mansion in Wirral

Anyone who dares to dream of winning one of Omaze’s multi-million pound properties will often wonder how much they would cost to run.

And as the prize draw for the latest plush pad in Caldy, Wirral nears, the lucky winner will scoop a staggering £250k to help them enjoy it. But how far will that money go into maintaining such a grand build? Well fear not, the Daily Star has found out.

The five-bedroomed Hollywood Hills-inspired mansion comes mortgage-free, with all stamp duty and legal fees covered. Online entrants have until tomorrow (Sunday, November 24) to enter and be in with a chance of winning.

An Omaze spokesperson said: “All Omaze winners are free to decide if they live in their new house, rent it out for a supplementary income or sell it whenever they wish to become a cash multi-millionaire – the choice is entirely theirs.

“Omaze Grand Prize winners also receive £250,000 in cash to maintain their new property and help them settle in.

“As with all Omaze properties, there is no mortgage, stamp duty or legal fees to pay – and the properties come with all the furniture featured in the adverts.

“For the house on the Wirral, Omaze has styled the property with £160,000 worth of furnishings and essentials, so it’s all ready for the winner to enjoy.

“Omaze estimates the running costs of the Wirral House (as of September 2024) to be between £1,200 and £1,300 per month.

“There are additional services that the winner may wish to engage such as pool maintenance and a gardener – which could come to an estimated £900 per month – for the months those services are engaged.”

The 4,750 square foot Caldy megahome boasts five bedrooms, stunning coastal views, a cinema room and a heated swimming pool.

Ealier this week, the Daily Star was invited for an exclusive look around the property which features a magnificent wrap-around terrace and breathtaking open plan kitchen, living and dining space.

The Omaze spokesperson added: “If the winner decides to move into the Wirral house, they could afford to comfortably stay for many years using just the £250,000 settling in money.

“It’s worth bearing in mind that if the winner was already paying rent or a mortgage – the money saved could also go towards the running costs of their new home.

It has five bedrooms

“Alternatively, if they already own a property, they could choose to keep it and rent it out as a supplementary income.

“Should the winner wish to rent out the Wirral house, Omaze estimates a long-term rental income of around £8,000 a month.

“Whatever their circumstances, all Omaze winners have several fantastic life changing options available to them.

“Omaze is immensely proud to have created 31 millionaires whilst also raising more than £63 million for good causes in the UK since it launched here.”
