Premier League followers with the filthiest mouths determined with 13,000 x-rated rants

Manchester United fans are most likely to turn the air blue with Red Devils the biggest potty mouths in the Premier League. The Old Trafford faithful have sent an astonishing 13,411 sweary tweets to their club’s official X account this season – over 7,000 more than Spurs, whose followers take second spot for filthy language with 5,992 offensive outbursts.

Chelsea (5,690), Arsenal (4,618) and Liverpool (2,959) complete the big five for cursing, while Brentford, Bournemouth and Ipswich fans use the cleanest lingo, with their sets of supporters each posting fewer than 500 swearwords.

A spokesman for FootyAccumulators.com, which collated the data, said: “ Manchester United fans tweet abusive language at the official Manchester United X account over five times the Premier League average of 2,581 and are the most foul-mouthed fanbase on X so far this season.

“The Red Devils fans’ favourite swearword was found to be ‘s**t’ and it was tweeted by fans to the club’s official X account a staggering 4,453 times.

“Manchester United fans have also tweeted the F-word more than any other fanbase in the league so far this season, a jaw-dropping 4,095 times.

“Not to mention the C-word was also tweeted by United fans a shocking 535 times – again the most of any other fanbase in the league.”

Tottenham Hotspur supporters came in second for dropping the C-bomb, while fans of north London rivals Arsenal are most likely to use the term “w****r”.

And Liverpool and Everton fans favour a classic Merseyside term of abuse, by using the word “k***head” the most.

The spokesman said: “At the other end of the scale, the most polite fanbase in the Premier League so far this season was found to be Brentford fans.

“Bees fans have tweeted only 347 swearwords to the official Brentford X account so far this season.”
