Ruben Amorim’s appears to be like fuming as Ed Sheeran gatecrashes first Man Utd post-match interview

Ruben Amorim’s first post-match interview as Manchester United boss was hilariously hijacked by pop star Ed Sheeran.

The Portuguese gaffer had just watched his squad stumble to a draw in his Premier League managerial debut. It kicked off with a bang at Portman Road when Marcus Rashford netted within 81 seconds, but Omari Hutchinson fired back with a stunner before half-time.

Amorim was left thanking his lucky stars for Andre Onana’s heroics between the sticks, pulling off some top-drawer saves to keep Liam Delap at bay.

With the Red Devils parked at 12th in the league, Amorim, who’d cheekily called himself ‘the smiling one’ ahead of the weekend, wasn’t exactly beaming as he spoke to Sky Sports.

But as he started to speak, Ed Sheeran rocked up, ready for his moment with presenter Kelly Cates and pundits Roy Keane, Jamie Redknapp, and Izzy Christiansen, stealing the spotlight and leaving Amorim with a thunderous look on his face.

“It’s a tough league,” Amorim admitted to Sky Sports, reflecting on his first taste of Premier League action. “What you learn in the first moment, a good environment. I think my players were thinking too much during the game. You can feel it.

“It is a tough match. I think we lost some balls without pressure. When you start the game like this, you score one goal and then you have to control the ball, you have to control the tempo of the game.

“We cannot do it at the moment, but they tried, they really, really tried. I know for some guys it’s hard to understand this but they are really, really trying and they want this,” reports the Mirror.

“We have two ways: we try to just win games, don’t risk nothing in this moment, and I guarantee next year at the same stage, we will have the same problems. The players will be confused sometimes but we have to address since this moment the new idea and try to be better.”
