Coleen Rooney vs Rebekah Vardy boxing match predicted – who’d win ‘Wagatha Christie’ combat

October 9th 2019 – the day Coleen Rooney broke the internet and ignited a bitter rivalry that can surely only be settled one way.

Manchester United and England legend Wayne Rooney‘s wife had seen stories from her private Instagram account making tabloid headlines, so launched a super sleuth investigation to get to the bottom of things. To find out the culprit behind the leak, she blocked everyone from seeing her Insta stories bar one individual – Rebekah Vardy, the partner of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

Writing on X, Coleen famously allegedly someone she “trusted” had been informing the Sun newspaper about her personal life, concluding: “It’s ………. Rebekah Vardy’s account.” All hell broke loose and a High Court libel trial ensued with Coleen the victor – but we’ll get into that later.

The Scouse queen is currently making waves on ITV’s ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, but Rebekah has slammed her appearances on the show as “dull” and “wet”. Vardy’s wife has even said she wants to see Coleen munching on “bull’s penis and humble pie”.

With all that in mind, Daily Star Sport has asked ChatGPT just how a boxing fight between the two super WAGs would end. If it’s good enough for YouTube star Jake Paul and a 58-year-old Mike Tyson, then surely it’s the best way for Coleen and Rebekah to settle their differences – once and for all.

For brevity, we decided upon a three round fight, with ChatGPT predicting the no-nonsense Liverpudlian – who at 38 is four years younger than 42-year-old Rebekah – would enter the ring “with a calm and calculated demeanour”, adding it would be “much like her strategic approach in the Wagatha Christie saga”.

Meanwhile, rabble rouser Rebekah would seemingly come out firing, dishing out aggressive jabs, with round one ending evenly matched. However, in round two, her Scouse opponent’s stamina and patience would help her in the ring according to ChatGPT, remember, this is a woman who was calculated in her approach to sussing out just who was spilling secrets about her personal life.

And by round three, it would be Coleen who would once again come out on top, delivering “a clean hook to stagger her opponent”. So once again Rebekah would be left sprawled on the canvas, counting the cost of daring to take on the queen of the WAGs.

However, one individual who disagrees with ChatGPT’s prediction is former British boxer Amir Khan. Speaking to Press Box, Khan said: “If Rebekah and Coleen had a fight in boxing I’d have to go with Rebekah Vardy.

“Honestly, she is a tough tough cookie. She’s strong, she’s tough – I think she’s physically stronger by looking at her. She’s one of these types of women, having met her, she’s very confident. I think she’d win against Coleen if they ever boxed.”

Now – back to the libel case. In 2022, following the high profile trial, Vardy ended up having to pay out 90% of Coleen’s legal fees after the court ruled the latter’s statements were “substantially true”. And the cost of challenging her rival came in at over a whopping £1.8million.

Despite Rebekah’s vehement denials, the High Court trial revealed her ex-agent Caroline Watt might have been the one selling stories, having had access to Rebekah’s Instagram. To add salt to the wound, last month a judge ordered Rebekah to cough up an additional £100,000 in costs, piling onto the hefty bill she owes Coleen.

And to make matters worse for poor old Rebekah, not only is Coleen predicted to beat her in the ring, she has also now emerged as one of the favourites to win I’m a Celeb, with Coral Bookmakers slashing her odds from 14-1 down to just 5-2.
