It’s official, Elon Musk is a “3,000-year-old time-travelling and identity-assuming vampire alien“.
Well, it is if you believe everything the tech billionaire says on his platform X, formerly known as Twitter. The SpaceX head honcho sparked amusement from his fans when he claimed to be a time-travelling vampire alien. In one post the richest man on Earth claimed he was tired of assuming other people’s identities over the centuries. The Tesla owner has made a habit of amusing himself, and others in the process, with some wild statements on social media.
His recent outing saw him commenting on a number of historical posts about individuals, to which he has a passing resemblance.

Musk’s first post, set live at nearly 2.30am ET, was a meme that claimed his neighbour was knocking on his door at 2.30 “this morning”, adding: “Luckily I was still up playing my bagpipes.”
Unsurprisingly, the man with more than 200 million followers on the platform garnered some responses, despite the ungodly hour. One wrote: “Elon why are you still awake.” A second said: “Sleep is for those who still don’t know they’re in the matrix.” While a third observed: “Elon has memes on standby for any situation lmao.”
However, a fourth X user wanted to get to the truth of why Musk was still awake in the early hours and shared a screenshot of a historic tweet, where Musk claimed to be a 1914 fighter pilot.
Underneath the image he had written: “Full disclosure, I’m actually a 3000 year old vampire. It’s such a trial assuming these false identities over the centuries!”
In fairness to Musk he did look a little bit like his historic “double”. The user queried: “You don’t sleep because you’re a vampire?”
To which Musk responded: “I’m a time-travelling vampire!” Before issuing a correction lower down the thread. “Time-travelling, vampire alien.”
