Flashing balls of sunshine filmed over Washington DC and noticed in ‘no-fly zone’

Several flashing balls of light were filmed over Washington DC in what appeared to be a “no-fly zone”.

Footage uploaded to Reddit shows four objects floating in the sky with one to the left moving steadily. The quartet of UFOs are suddenly joined by a fifth twinkling member much higher in the skyline, around two thirds of the way through the 43-second clip. Viewers were immediately drawn to the comments section to give their take on what was going on in the sky, and whether they were visitors from outerspace.

The footage comes after one could-be alien spotter filmed a cube-shaped stationary UAP hovering over a neighbourhood in Colorado Springs.

And there was also a video showing a pulsating UFO with red, green and purple lights which was taken by a driver in Kansas, earlier this month.

Some viewers believed the area was a ‘no-fly’ zone

However, in this instance the location was little more dicey, given the strict controls over what happens in the airspace over the city. And that was picked up straight away by one of the viewers who queried: “Isnt that a no-fly zone considering its proximity to the White House?”

Another wrote: “These lights look and are cutting out exactly like the lights in the phoenix Arizona sighting in 1997, just hovering right over the city, thousands of witnesses.”

While a third panicked: “I said this already once on an earlier post…something is truly building There’s never been THIS many sightings (if Ayys lmao) then good but if it is Russian drones scouting locations to drop nukes we’re doomed.”

However, a plane theory did start taking off in the thread, with one person pointing out: “Yes, there is a no-fly zone for most if not all of the DC airspace. But these are absolutely planes headed towards DCA which is located south of DC.

“I commented a version of this on the other post. I’ve lived in the area for a while and I see these lights almost every time I travel at night from Maryland/DC to Virginia or vice versa. The perspective is off from this angle. But they fly over your head all the time when you are on one of the southern bridges.”

However, they were a little less confident about the fifth element to the clip: “Landing lights? I’m not exactly sure what it is but I am certain these are planes.”
