Ruud van Nistelrooy looks set to be making a swift return to the Premier League.
Van Nistelrooy left Manchester United, after being appointed as their caretaker boss, when Ruben Amorim arrived at Old Trafford earlier this month. However, the Dutchman now looks set to return to the English top flight with Leicester City.
The Red Devils icon has been in talks with the Foxes after they sacked Steve Cooper on Sunday (November 24), following his loss to Chelsea the day beforehand. During his interim spell, Van Nistelrooy guided United to two dominant wins over Leicester.

According to The Telegraph, Leicester are now set to appoint him as their new manager. Van Nistelrooy, who was unbeaten in four games, is available with no compensation after being dismissed from his assistant post by United boss Amorim.
Van Nistelrooy has seemingly beaten out the likes of Chelsea manager Graham Potter and ex-West Ham manager David Moyes for the role. Leicester could now appoint the Dutchman before their trip to Brentford on on Saturday.
