Two goats put behind bars after chasing residents and giving cops the run-around

Two escaped goats in Washington butted heads with the law after they went wild in the city and chased pedestrians. The Kent Police Department managed to round up the animals before they could ram anyone, and took to social media to show the goats in the back of a police vehicle.

The goats looked sheepish behind bars in the photograph posted on Instagram, alongside the caption: “detained for baaaaaadddd behavior.” “We are not sure where they came from, but the two of them got it into their heads that chasing people would be a good time,” the post added.

“Don’t goat us wrong, they are very cute. But no kidding around, it’s not OK for people or goats to chase others.” The department joked: “When asked why they were being so aggressive, one of them bleated that he was just ‘feeling a bit baaaaa-d today.'”

The troublesome duo were sent to a shelter

The animals were taken via a “comfy ride” to the King County Animal Shelter where officials are trying to find their owner. “Oh my goodness, this post was hilarious,” wrote someone in the comment section, while another quipped: “If you can’t find the owners I’ll take them. I’m tired of mowing my lawn.”

Last year, another out of control goat was given a mock trial by her owner Anne Lomas, who decided to take the drastic action after her pet Gary started causing mayhem on her farm in Cumbria.

The two-foot tall terror had started harassing the other farm animals, stealing their food and headbutting them. “Within a few days I had to separate him from the other goats because he kept headbutting them with his horns,” said Anne.

“I put him in with the alpacas as they’re bigger than him and can handle him, but before long he started escaping,” she added. Anne then started receiving calls from locals in Grange-Over-Sands to say he was stealing their underwear.

She added: “He’d turn up with bras and pants on his head and we’d find undies in the barn. He gets it off the washing lines.”
