Bloke could not get spouse pregnant for dumbest ever motive and individuals are flabbergasted

A bloke has left people bewildered after revealing the reason why he could not impregnate his wife, despite trying his hardest for almost a year.

The man, who kept his identity secret wrote into Slate’s popular sex advice column, How To Do It, under the guise of “Not Rising to the Occasion”. He revealed that after a trip to the doctor to discuss his and his wife’s fertility issues, the doc told him that infertility wasn’t the issue. Instead he had to be told to “stop wearing condoms when having sex”.

The 30-year-old added that both he and his wife come from a country, where wearing a condom was drilled in to them as a way of avoiding STIs.

“In what was probably only a few minutes but some of the longest of my life, the doctor at the clinic explained how condoms actually function and that we’d been failing to get my wife pregnant because I was wearing a condom while we did it,” the man wrote.

“I’ve never felt like more of an idiot than when walking out of that office,” he continued as he shared that he and his wife of four years had been trying for a baby for just under a year with no luck.

His letter went viral and was met with amazement, with one dazed reader asking: “Did his wife not know either????”

Another commented that they “genuinely worry about how humanity made it this far”, while a third person quipped that the guy’s situation was “worse than wondering why you’re getting pregnant when you never use a condom”, and many suggested that the guy should keep wearing the condom.

Astonishingly, the man’s condom usage was not the reason he was writing in, reports the New York Post. The man revealed that since ditching the wrapper, he is now getting erectile dysfunction when he tries to have sex.

He wrote: “I can sometimes get it up for a minute or so, but then it wilts back down. I don’t know if it’s the feel without a condom being different or just tending to think about my massive embarrassment at the doctor’s office, but I’m not performing when I try to have sex without a condom.”

The column’s agony aunt suggested the man look at erectile dysfunction medication and return to the fertility clinic, writing: “The more you know, the better off you’ll be as you navigate this situation.”
