Manchester United fans beg Ruben Amorim can turn Rasmus Hojlund into the next Viktor Gyokeres.
Hojlund, 21, was back on target for the Red Devils on Thursday (November 28) evening – netting a lovely strike to level the game against Bodo/Glimt. Old Trafford had been stunned by a four minute turn around by the visitors – but it was woken back up by the Dane.
Noussair Mazraoui dipped the ball into the box, where Hojlund took a wonderful first touch and volleyed the ball into the far corner despite having little room to work with.

“Amorim might have found his Gyokeres in Hojlund if he continues like this,” one fan gushed. While a second said: “You all saw what Amorim did with Gyokeres. It’s just a matter of time until he turns Hojlund into one of the best strikers on the continent. Just wait…”
“Hojlund is already showing that if his teammates can get him the right passes they already have a younger Gyokeres in the team,” a third posted. And another added: “Rasmus Hojlund has higher ceiling than Viktor Gyokeres… There, I said it!”

The Red Devils have been linked with a move for the big Swede after Amorim made the switch to the red half of Manchester. “He [Amorim] probably has some strikers there already, so we’ll see,” the Swedish international said.
“No, he hasn’t [asked me to join him]. It’s fun but nothing I attach any importance to because it’s talk and nothing concrete.”
Gyokeres was also asked more generally about Amorim’s exit. “It’s very sad that he’s leaving, but of course we understand his decision,” he said.
“He has of course meant a lot [to me] considering that he gave me that chance and that he made me develop so much. Now we look forward to working with the new coach.”
