Football fans on social media were left frustrated at Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford after seeing him drop his gloves on the ground for a coach to pick up.
The England international has endured a frustrating season this term at Old Trafford, but could be about to see an uptick in form under Ruben Amorim, who started him as United’s centre forward during his first game in charge at the club.
Rashford scored last weekend against Ipswich Town, operating in a front three with Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho flanking him on either side. However, he was named a substitute during United’s midweek Europa League win against Bodo/Glimt, a game they won 3-2.

On 59 minutes, Rashford was called over by Amorim to come on off the bench, with Mason Mount making way. However, fans spotted a moment where they were left disappointed by Rashford as he was about to come on.
The United star took his gloves off before coming on, throwing his gloves on the ground instead of handing them to the coach behind him. The coach had to pick both gloves up, with Rashford seemingly not paying attention. And the moment on the touchline sparked a debate on social media.

“Bro Rashford took his gloves off and drop them for the dude to pick up. And the dude was literally right there lol,” wrote one fan.
A second however argued: “This is indefensible and consequences of his actions and all that (rightly so). but going out of the way to clip this, uploading it, resposting it again for what? Internet points matter to some people i get it but atp it’s just purposefully piling on more abuse.”
A third said: “Just absolutely arrogant and rude, the man is stood right next to him, not one need to just drop them on the floor like that. Hate that kind of stuff.”
A fourth said: “You guys exaggerate everything. It’s not a great looking but “shocking”? Let it go.”
