Amad Diallo has been earning plenty of plaudits for his recent performances, with the Manchester United winger impressing in the 4-0 win over Everton on Sunday
Manchester United ace Amad Diallo has caught the eye of Alan Shearer following his dazzling display against Everton, which also earned him plaudits from Ruben Amorim.
The 22-year-old winger was crowned man of the match after the Red Devils thrashed Sean Dyche’s side 4-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday (December 1).
In Amorim’s maiden Premier League victory as United boss, Amad notched two assists, with Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee both netting twice to propel the club up to ninth in the table.

Although the Ivory Coast international didn’t find the back of the net, his all-round performance saw him scoop 70% of the vote for man of the match on United’s official website – and it is clear Amad has certainly been reacting to support and praise from Amorim with his positive performances.
Discussing Amad’s latest display, Amorim was quick to praise new Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy for his role in nurturing the winger earlier this season while a coach at Old Trafford, which is now paying dividends, reports the Mirror.
“He is really big in talent, but small in size,” the Portuguese boss said about Amad on Match of the Day 2. “He did a great job but he is also has to improve. He is in a great moment. Ruud van Nistelrooy helped him a lot in his games in charge, and now he’s helping me.”
Amorim wasn’t the only one to comment on Amad’s upswing in form, with Shearer lauding the youngster for his impressive showing at wing-back – a position he’d never played in before Amorim’s arrival. Speaking on ‘The Rest Is Football’ podcast, the Newcastle legend couldn’t help but rave about the winger.
“Amad Diallo was absolutely outstanding on the right-hand side,” he stated. “He was fantastic player of the match. He was a constant threat. His work-rate, his attitude, his understanding of what his manager wants from him in that position is brilliant.”

Amad has now played the full 90 minutes in three back-to-back Premier League matches for the first time and seems to be cementing his place as a pivotal figure in Amorim’s line-up, who’s been encouraging him to keep showing up with strong displays on the field.
“He was really good defending and really good attacking so he has to continue to play like that,” Amorim insisted. “You could feel it in the end of the game he was really, really tired so we have to manage that and increase his physical ability.”
The head coach cheekily added: “I’d like to take credit for [his pressing], but that’s him. He’s like that. He’s smart. He’s explosive.”
On Wednesday (December 4), Amorim faces his sternest challenge yet with United as they clash with high-flying Arsenal, who sit second behind leaders Liverpool.
