Sarah Ferguson  takes grandsons August and Ernest to a festive market (and rides a large rooster) – as she reveals how she’ll be ‘spoiling’ the royal kids at Christmas

Sarah Ferguson has shared a sweet clip of her enjoying the festive countdown alongside Princess Eugenie and her grandchildren – as she reveals what treats they will open on the big day.

The Duchess of York, 65, took to TikTok at the weekend where she shared a video of her at Windsor Great Park illuminated alongside her youngest daughter, Eugenie, and her two sons, August and Ernest.

Sarah – affectionately dubbed Fergie – shared the 10 second clip to her social media account where she was seen enjoying a carousel ride on a ‘giant rooster’ and strolling through the stunning festive lights while holding hands with each grandson.

Speaking in the video, she said: ‘I’m at Windsor Park illuminated and I’m with m grandchildren and my daughter and I’m having the best day. Saturday afternoon in the dark. And I’m on a giant rooster.’

In the background of Eugenie appears to chuckle affectionately as she watches her mother enjoy the festive ride.

Sarah appeared ready to brace the cold in a cosy red fleece, grey gloves and knee-length black puffer jacket to protect her from the wintery air.

And it’s not just exciting days out that the duchess’ grandchildren will have to look forward to this Christmas

Yesterday, Sarah revealed insight into how she treats the grandchildren at Christmas – by spoiling them rotten with sweets and plenty of goodies.

The Duchess of York , 65, took to TikTok at the weekend where she shared a video of her at Windsor Great Park illuminated alongside her youngest daughter, Eugenie, and her two sons, August and Ernest, on Saturday

The duchess is grandmother to Princess Beatrice’s children, daughter Sienna, three, and stepson Wolfie, eight, as well as Princess Eugenie’s sons, August, three, and one-year-old Ernest.

Prepared for the season of spoiling, Sarah said: ‘Grannies exist to spoil their grandchildren, don’t they? I’ll be stuffing their stockings with sweets, toys and treats. I think I’m as excited as they are,’ she told Hello!.

And stockings are prepared early. Sarah told the publication she is annually organised and will always have presents bought in advance rather than panic buying just before the big day.

‘I plan a long way ahead. I spot things I think people would like throughout the year and stash them away. Every year I also like to get special baubles made for everyone’s tree,’ the doting grandmother shared.

Since the plans of the Prince and Princess of Wales’ revealed their plans to spend the festive period in Norfolk, Sarah said she is also looking to kick back and relax, and will be spending Christmas as usual with friends and family.

An avid humanitarian, Sarah also commits to spending part of the festive period working for charity, including her efforts to support the Big Give, which aims to raise money to support people with cancer.

Sarah is also patron of Prevent Breast Cancer, following her own experiences with the illness.

The mother-of-two became the first member of the royal family to join TikTok in October earlier this year – and marked the occasion with a poignant video reflecting on her cancer journey.

Sarah, who currently resides in the Royal Lodge in Windsor Park, made her debut on the social media app earlier this year under the username sarahtheduchess.

It comes after the former wife of the Duke of York decided to kick off the festive spirit by taking a trip to Vienna.

The royal took once more to TikTok where she shared a clip of her preparing to jet off the the European nation without the company of her ex husband of 30-years, Prince Andrew.

Speaking in a TikTok video from Heathrow departures, the Duchess of York told her followers: ‘It’s Monday and I decided that we need to get the Christmas spirit going.

‘Heathrow Airport on my way to Vienna. And what am I doing in Vienna? I am going to see (the) Christmas fair’.Attempting to drum up some festive cheer, Fergie continued: ‘The airports are just so exciting. It’s a new adventure, new day, new journey. Let’s go’.

Sarah has been enjoying the beginning of the festive season and just last month took a trip to Sydney, Australia, where she arrived for a book signing of her new novel, A Woman of Intrigue – a uplifting historical romance mystery.

Fergie’s ex husband and the brother of the king, are currently embroiled in an ongoing feud in the wake of elder brother Charles cutting Andrew’s financial lifelines.

The King stopped paying his disgraced brother’s £3 million-a-year security bill at the 30-room Windsor Royal Lodge last month and urged him to move into more modest accommodation as part of an extraordinary row dubbed ‘the siege of Royal Lodge’.

But Andrew has since been allowed to stay at the property in Windsor Great Park after convincing Palace authorities that he has secured enough funds to support himself.

Mystery remains over the exact source of Andrew’s funding, but it has been muted that Keeper of the Privy Purse Sir Michael Stevens approved the financing as coming from legitimate sources.
