Man finds lacking infants in ditch as he goes exterior to gather supply in -2C

A man was left in shock after stumbling upon two infants abandoned in a ditch amid freezing conditions right outside his property. Robert Deane, from the southeast side of Indianapolis, Indiana, US, stepped out to pick up some parcels and was met with the sight of two car seats dumped in a ditch.

Miraculously, the children, aged four and five months, were found alive despite being left in the bitter cold of -2C. The police have confirmed that the youngsters were snatched in a stolen vehicle.

Indianapolis police spokesperson William Young expressed his concern, stating: “It’s cold out here. Who knows what could have happened if this particular individual was not able to come outside. It’s extremely cold, and we’re still in our early stages of trying to figure out who was responsible for this.”

Young commended Mr Deane for his swift action in bringing the girls to safety as the authorities arrived, saying: “He did what any good person would do. He got those infants to shelter. This is an outcome that we wanted. I can’t thank that good Samaritan enough. We don’t have a suspect in custody, but that will be our next priority is figuring out who is responsible for this particular incident.”

Mr Deane, speaking to USA Today, reflected on his actions: “I’d do it again. If you see something, like a baby in a ditch, say something, do something. The two baby girls are cousins and were found unharmed. Police are still on the lookout for the person who stole the car and left the defenceless tots in the ditch. “, reports the Mirror.

The two baby girls, who are cousins, were thankfully found safe and sound. The coppers are still on the hunt for the cold-hearted thief who nicked the car and dumped the defenceless babies in a ditch.

“We don’t have a suspect in custody, but that will be our next priority is figuring out who is responsible for this particular incident,” said Young. This chilling event follows the heartbreaking news in mid-November when a newborn boy met his end after being thrown out of a 4th-floor window on Skid Row in Los Angeles, California, as the police have stated.

The poor tot was discovered lifeless in an alley off the 500 block of San Pedro Street in downtown Los Angeles. A good Samaritan reportedly leapt into action at the grisly scene, trying their best to perform CPR on the little one while waiting for the medics to arrive.

Tragically, the infant was declared dead right there and then. It’s feared that he might’ve been thrown from the fourth floor toilet window following his birth.

Around the same time, a woman was rushed to hospital bleeding from her pubic area, according to abc7. The woman, who was picked up by police post-haste and carted off to the hospital, got let go later as investigations continue.
