Celebrity lawyer Mr Loophole says he helped a footballer get off speeding charges by offering a cop a signed shirt. Nick Freeman says he realised the officer was a football fan and asked if the charges could be forgotten if he gave him a shirt and an autograph.
Mr Freeman claims he went to a police station to represent the star – from a “very well known Manchester club” – and the custody sergeant went easy on him as they supported his team.
He added: “Instead of coming out with a charge, we gave a shirt and an autograph. And despite it all being on video. It was incredible.”

Meanwhile, Neil Ruddock has told Ruben Amorim to be ruthless if he wants to stand a chance of being a successful Manchester United manager.
Amorim has replaced Erik ten Hag and been charged with taking United back to the top of English football. But former Liverpool star Ruddock reckons there will be no quick fixes, and that Amorim faces a huge task ahead of him.
And Ruddock has wasted no time in telling the Portuguese coach which United flops he needs to axe from Old Trafford. Ruddock told 10bet: “If you’re Ruben Amorim and you’re looking around the dressing room for players to clear out, then you’re looking at the old guys, the players that are 30 plus.
“Everyone knows that United isn’t going to be a quick fix. This is a huge task, and it’s going to take time for United to be challenging again.
“I think we’re looking at a three-to-four-year plan, so he needs to look at the players that are over the age of 30 and ask himself what kind of role will they be playing in the future of Manchester United.
“That means people like (Harry) Maguire, (Jonny) Evans and Casemiro. Those are the guys that you should be looking to move on, if you’re going to move anyone out.
“Will there be a market for these types of players? I can’t imagine that there will be a long line of teams looking to beat down the Manchester United dressing room door to take them.
“For United to return to the club that we know they are, Amorim is going to have to be ruthless.”
