Bargain two-bedroom home may very well be yours for simply £31,500 – however the inside decorator has left fairly a shock for the brand new proprietor

A bargain two-bedroom house is set to head for auction with a guide price of £31,500, with a charming surprise awaiting its new owners inside.

The property is located in Chopwell, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and comes with some very original looking artwork on the interior walls.

Images of the property show the unusual sketches decorating both the living room and kitchen on the ground floor.

Unfortunately though for fans of the arty interior, the decorator limited his canvas to just those two rooms.

Aside from the novel furnishing, the house also comes with two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor.

There is also some outdoor space in the form of a yard at the rear of the property.

Situated on Clyde Street, the Chopwell house is located in a quaint village setting but also offers the vibrancy of city living being just a thirty minute drive from Newcastle city centre.

The house (green doored property) is located on Clyde Street in the Gateshead village of Chopwell, Newcastle-upon-Tyne

The unusual artwork is on display on the walls of the £31,000 property’s living room

The walls are decorated with multi-coloured splodges of paint, as this picture shows

The unusual artwork continues on into the property’s kitchen area, in a manner which certainly adds some colour to proceedings at the very least

The two-bed property is set to go to auction in a fortnight’s time on December 17

Unfortunately for fans of the unusual artwork, the interior decorator didn’t get the chance to continue his masterpiece into the upstairs portion of the property

Available from just £31,500 at auction, this two bed and one bath property could prove to be a bargain

For any interested parties, it is set to go under the hammer on December 17 at Hammersmith Auctions.

The property, which can be found on online housing marketplace Rightmove, is located near the Wylam train station and is also serviced by multiple local bus routes.

Access to local ‘recreational pursuits’ is another selling point provided in the listing.

The unique listing has also caught the attention of social media site Reddit, with users noting the contemporary paintings adorning the kitchen and living space.

One user remarked their disappointment that the artwork did not continue on into the upstairs of the property, whilst another wrote ‘Looks like the side of my painting desk, just on a bigger scale’.

Others referenced the likeness to the artwork of the American painter Jackson Pollock, with one Redditor jokingly asking if the Chopwell property was actually Pollock’s house.
