The FA Cup third round draw has thrown up a mouth-watering clash between Arsenal and Manchester United, which is set to be televised.
The Gunners triumphed over United in their recent Premier League encounter 2-0, but Ruben Amorim’s side will be seeking revenge when they travel to North London on January 12 for a 3pm kick-off. The heavyweight showdown is one of six matches selected for TV coverage, with Tottenham Hotspur’s tie against non-league Tamworth also making the cut. Spurs‘ match will be broadcast on ITV, while the Arsenal-United game will be aired on the BBC.
Liverpool have been scheduled another lunchtime kick-off, this time against Accrington Stanley on January 11. Later that evening, Manchester City will face Salford City, who will be hoping to pull off an upset under the floodlights.

The FA Cup action extends to Friday and Monday as well, as teams from the Premier League and Championship join the fray. Aston Villa will play host to West Ham in an all-Premier League clash on Friday, while Dagenham and Redbridge, the second remaining non-league side, will face Millwall.
Manchester United, last season’s winners, will have their work cut out for them as they begin their title defence. Following Wednesday’s loss, new head coach Ruben Amorim was quizzed about how his team could turn things around in their rematch with Arsenal, reports the Mirror.
“Set pieces. That is important,” he told Amazon Prime Video Sport. “And we have to be more aggressive near the opponent’s box. But we have a lot to improve in all areas of the team.”

Following their sensational victory over a Burton Albion side two divisions their senior, Tamworth’s clash with Spurs signals a huge moment for the club. “It’s like a reward for the last two and a half years for everyone involved,” manager Andy Peaks revealed to BBC Radio WM post-draw.
Peaks added: “It’s just a shame that we can’t get more than 4,000 people in The Lamb. Just me alone I must have already been asked for 4,000 tickets.
“I was quite happy to have a home draw or a really big game away. And some of the ties I didn’t really fancy, a long way away and a bit tough. But I just had a feeling when the number 53 came out and I looked at the faces of the ones who were pulling the balls out and they knew it was a big team.”
