The British Isles has been battered by high winds over the weekend, but it was Manchester United that were blown away on Saturday afternoon.
There had been murmurs the game wouldn’t go ahead due to Storm Darragh, and the Red Devils might have hoped it had have been postponed after they fell behind less than two minutes into the clash.
It was a ding-dong battle from there, with Forest netting twice before Bruno Fernandes hit back. But it wasn’t enough as United suffered their second defeat in as many games – and Daily Star Sport looks at what Amorim got wrong.

It’s the basics of football, really. Don’t do anything stupid in the first five minutes – that’s exactly what the Red Devils did at Old Trafford.
Nikola Milenković nodded the ball home in the second minute, silencing Old Trafford and sending the away fans wild. It set the tone for the rest of the game, United were frantic – forced to chase the game.
It invited silly mistakes, and that’s how Forest raced into a two goal lead with a one-two punch after half-time.
Starting Alejandro Garnacho

There was a time when Alejandro Garnacho was United’s knight in shining armour. These past few weeks haven’t been great for the Argentine, and he seems to struggle most games.
He could benefit from some time away from the starting side, build up some confidence off the bench.
“Garnacho nodding his head and speaking under his breath whilst coming off…. You better nod that head of yours to Osasuna,” one fan fumed. While a second shared: “Garnacho might be the worst ever winger in United’s history, can’t pass and can’t square the ball!
Letting the game become too scrappy
The bottom line is, United needed to control the game – everything was just too rushed. After Fernandes netted to pull United within one they needed their big players to step up.
And, if they couldn’t, Amorim needed to look to his bench and bring someone on who could control the game. That didn’t happen, Forest drew United down to their level, scrapping and kicking for every ball.
While Amorim’s fast paced tactics will work against some of the top sides, it won’t win games they’re expected to win.
