Hawk Tuah Girl Haliey Welch bowed out of a X spaces session as she was being grilled over her ‘scam’ crypto venture in fine fashion.
The 22-year-old internet sensation was taking part in a conversation led byYouTuber Voidzilla, along with crypto experts and members of her own memecoin team when she abruptly ended the chat by declaring that she was “going to bed”.
Best known as the Hawk Tuah Girl, the southern belle has been accused of scamming investors with her failed $HAWK memecoin. HAWK’s value plummeted by more than 90 per cent mere hours after launching, with at least one investor filing a complaint with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, reports the Independent.

HAWK launched on the Solana blockchain on the evening of Wednesday, December 4, with a price of $0.005492 (£0.0043). It quickly rocketed by more than 900%, accumulating a market cap of $490 million.
After peaking at $0.00004028 (£0.000032), HAWK’s market cap dropped to $60 million – a colossal 91% drop in value.
Folk have blamed the plunge on insider wallets and snipers – outfits that buy up huge amounts of a token’s supply when launched – which reportedly controlled between 80%-90% of HAWK’s supply.
Haliey was in the middle of being questioned on exactly this, by Crypto whizz Nick O’Neal when she shut the X spaces session down.
Nick was in the middle of asking about HAWK’s token fees, saying: “So I’m sort of curious, not for the token price itself, but just in terms of the fact that there’s fees that are being generated. There’s an actual like-”
Haliey cuts his train of thought short, saying: “Hi guys, I hate to interrupt you Nick, hello there, but any hoo, I’m going to go to bed and I’ll see you guys tomorrow.”
Hawk Tuah girl’s mic-drop moment, left Nick audibly shocked. He spluttered into a surprised laugh and said: “Um, ok. I guess we’re done talking over here.”
