Michail Antonio‘s former wife hurried from Manchester to join the West Ham striker in a London hospital following his horror car crash.
West Ham United verified that the 34 -year-old forward was involved in a brutal smash on Saturday afternoon. He was quickly transported to a hospital in London, where he is now stable.
Firefighters battled for 55 minutes to extricate Antonio from his wrecked Ferrari. He was eventually rescued and rushed to a hospital in London.

His ex-wife, Debbie Whittle, made sure she was by his side. As reported by The Sun, she journeyed from her home in Manchester all the way to London to be with him.
Antonio and Whittle met in 2011 and have four children together – but they divorced shortly after the birth of their youngest child. Reports of Antonio being involved in an accident started circulating on social media on Saturday afternoon, which was later confirmed by West Ham, reports the Mirror.
The club released a statement saying: ” West Ham United can confirm striker Michail Antonio has today been involved in a road traffic accident.
“The thoughts and prayers of everyone at the club are with Michail, his family and friends at this time. The club will issue an update in due course.”
The Hammers provided an update just hours following the distressing event, confirming that their striker had been taken to hospital. A subsequent statement said: “West Ham United can confirm that Michail Antonio is in a stable condition following a road traffic accident this afternoon in the Essex area.
“Michail is conscious and communicating and is currently under close supervision at a central London hospital. At this difficult time, we kindly ask everyone to respect the privacy of Michail and his family. The club will make no further comment this evening, but will issue a further update in due course.”
The Jamaican FA also released a statement, sending their “prayers” to Antonio after his alarming car incident. They commented on Saturday night: “The Jamaica Football Federation is aware that our striker Michail Antonio was involved in a road traffic accident today.
“We can confirm that Michail is conscious and communicating and is under close supervision at a hospital in London. At this moment in time, on behalf of West Ham United and the Jamaica Football Federation we kindly ask everyone to respect the privacy of Michail and his family.”
Reggae Boyz’s Head Coach Steve McClaren expressed his concern for Michael, adding: “‘On behalf of the entire group of players, support staff and technical staff, I would like to wish Michail a speedy recovery. Our thoughts, and prayers are with him at this time.”
The President of the Jamaica Football Federation Michael Ricketts also shared a few words, adding: ‘On behalf of the entire Jamaica Football Federation family, I would like to wish Michail a safe and speedy recovery.
“At this point let us keep him in our prayers as he recovers. Further updates will be issued in due course between West Ham United in collaboration with the Jamaica Football Federation.”
