Wayne Rooney has been quick to praise his wife Coleen after she made it to the final of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Coleen will be the last woman standing in the I’m A Celeb jungle and joins Reverend Richard Coles and Danny Jones in the final of the hit ITV reality TV show, which will air on Sunday night.

The 39-year-old has spent the last three weeks in the jungle, enduring bushtucker trials and the discomforts of camp life, but came in for praise from viewers for her handling of a particularly tough task.

In a trial earlier this week she was forced to drink cocktails of blended pig testicles and sheep anus, but viewers hailed her performance.

Now though her former footballer husband was quick to celebrate her achievement on Saturday night, taking to Instagram to share his pride on social media.

‘Yes Col.’ he wrote. ‘Made it (to) the final and last girl standing. We knew you would make it. All proud of you,’ followed by a red love heart emoji.

Coleen Rooney has had to endure three weeks in the jungle but her time will come to an end on Sunday

Regardless of whether she is crowned the latest Queen of the Jungle on Sunday night, she will at last be reunited with her husband.

While Coleen has been starring on ITV’s flagship reality show, Wayne has been enduring something of a storm with Plymouth Argyle.

The former Manchester United and England captain is under huge pressure at the Championship outfit, who are currently sat firmly in the relegation zone.

Rooney is believed to have only two matches to save his job, though his side’s clash with Oxford United has been postponed due to the ongoing disruption caused by Storm Darragh.

After 19 games, his side have only 17 points with just five wins, and are currently in 22nd, though 23rd-place Portsmouth are only a point behind with a game in hand.

Argyle are next in action against Swansea on Tuesday night in Devon, before a trip up to Bramall Lane and Sheffield United the following weekend.
