According to the product description, the iO 4 electric toothbrush “features Oral-B’s best technology, combining a dentist-inspired round brush head with micro-vibrating bristles for a professional purifying clean feel at home.”
It boasts a gum guard, smart pressure sensor and four brushing modes (Daily Clean, Whitening, Sensitive, Super Sensitive), with Oral B claiming, “100% healthier gums in one week vs. a regular manual toothbrush”, reports the Mirror.
The product comes with a travel case, one toothbrush head and a two-year warranty. The toothbrush is popular with users who rave about the gentle yet effective cleaning experience. One chuffed buyer enthused: “I love this product it cleans my teeth properly as it reaches in places and gaps where a normal toothbrush won’t reach which makes it just amazing.”
Another gushed: “Absolutely love this brought around a month ago and definitely notice a huge difference in how clean my teeth feel. Would definitely recommend.” A third fan beamed: “This is absolutely amazing and the colour is great too. Your teeth feel amazing every time you use it. It’s like dentist clean,” while someone else added: “I’ve had this product for a little while and I’m so glad I changed such powerful little tool gets teeth nice and shiny too.”
However, there were reviewers who weren’t thrilled, with several pointing out issues with the battery life. A disgruntled customer shared: “The tooth brush cleans my teeth well but the battery doesn’t last long at all, about one week. It was particularly bad when I first bought it until I did a software update.” A second commented: “I bought this a year ago and it’s good. It just needs the battery to last longer.”
Echoing the sentiment, another wrote: “Pros- a really good clean. Teeth feel like I’ve just been at the dental hygienist after a 2 minute brush with this. cons- didn’t read the earlier reviews and so caught out by the charger!”
