Four Man City stars ‘miss penalties towards no goalkeeper’ in coaching forward of Juventus conflict – however all just isn’t because it appears in viral video

Four Manchester City players were seen missing penalties against no goalkeeper in training but all is not as it seems in the viral clip.

City have finally overcome their dismal run of form which saw them go seven matches without a win before recently overcoming Nottingham Forest in the league.

They have since drawn with Crystal Palace and will next take on Juventus in a Champions League clash on Wednesday evening.

On Tuesday, City’s stars were filmed in training and one clip of a quartet of stars has since gone viral after they failed to score into an empty net.

Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Ilkay Gundogan were all seen firing either over the bar or wide of the goal during the training session.

Fans on social media were quick to laugh at the quartet of players however Mail Sport can reveal that they were doing a crossbar challenge.

In a video that appeared online, all four players missed from the penalty spot

City boss Pep Guardiola will be hopeful that his players do have their shooting boots on for their upcoming clash against Juventus.

Following the Champions League tie, City will then face rivals Man United who are looking to bounce back from Ruben Amorim’s first defeat in charge.

Meanwhile, Guardiola recently confirmed that City will be the final club job of his managerial career.

Guardiola has enjoyed eight-and-a-half glittering years in charge at the Etihad, leading City to six Premier League titles and numerous other trophies.

The Spaniard is currently in the midst of his toughest period of his tenure, with City having won just one of their last eight games in all competitions.

However, Guardiola penned a new deal until 2027 last month, which will take his time with the four-in-a-row Premier League champions past a decade.

And, speaking in an exclusive interview with Spanish chef Dani Garcia, Guardiola provided a major update on his future and revealed he will not lead any other teams in the future once he leaves City.

Many had suggested that the City players were trying to hit the crossbar instead of scoring

Jack Grealish also participated but was unable to complete the challenge in training

‘I’m not going to manage another team,’ he said. ‘I’m not talking about the long-term future but what I’m not going to do is leave Man City, go to another country, and do the same thing as now.

‘I wouldn’t have the energy… The thought of starting somewhere else, all the process of training and so on… No, no, no! Maybe a national team, but that’s different.

‘I should stop, like these chefs that go to other countries, stop and see what we’ve done well and what we could do better and when you’re busy all day, day after day you don’t have time to do that.

‘I want to leave it and go and play golf but I can’t. I think stopping would do me good.’
