Moment bus ploughs into group of individuals ready at cease earlier than hero onlookers rush to ‘free trapped lady’: One rushed to hospital with severe accidents

This is the terrifying moment a bus swerved off the road and into a crowd of pedestrians waiting at a stop, leaving one woman trapped under the vehicle.

Distressing footage of the incident reveals a mother and child fleeing from the scene following the collision in Lightmoor Way, Telford, just before 10.30am on Thursday morning.

The rest of the crowd, now joined by other bystanders, gather around the injured woman and attempt to lift the bus, which also collided with garden railings behind the stop, off her.

Eventually they succeed and the blue single decker bus reverses away from the pavement.

Police, fire and ambulance services attended the scene and the woman was given ‘advanced trauma care’ for ‘potentially serious injuries’.

She was taken to The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further treatment.
