Sean Hannity Craps On Tim Walz Decorating Christmas Tree For God Knows What Reason

Sean Hannity on Thursday tried to make a political statement by bashing an ordinary family video of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) and wife Gwen Walz decorating a Christmas tree. (Watch the video below.)

The Fox News host repeatedly joked that Tim Walz should have trimmed the tree with menstrual products, while colleague Rachel Campos-Duffy suggested that the footage made the couple seem like “communists.” Former Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), a contributor to the network, said the clip’s vibe contrasted with people “talking about patriotism with Donald Trump,” the GOP president-elect.

In the Wednesday video, Walz, who served as the Democratic vice presidential nominee this year, addressed daughter Hope Walz as he waxed nostalgic over handmade ornaments on the tree, including one made of a toilet paper roll. He joked that she probably missed her “Griswold family,” referring to the fictional clan in 1989′s “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.”

But Hannity saw it as an opportunity to recycle the GOP’s overblown response to Tim Walz’s support of a bill mandating that Minnesota schools provide free menstrual products to students in grades four through 12.

“I wonder if they put any feminine hygiene products on the tree?” Hannity asked. Moments later he was back at it again. “But I do wonder, I mean, what did they decorate that tree with? I mean, if they believe so much in feminine hygiene products in boys bathrooms in school, why wouldn’t they put it on their Christmas tree?”
