Emergency services report of a scene in Glasgow as several passengers are left ‘trapped’ as a double decker bus crashes into a bridge near the city’s O2 Academy.
The incident involved the 4A First Bus as it crashed into a railway bridge on Cook Street. It was on a junction with Commerce Street, and occurred around 6.10pm on Saturday evening (December 14). Images from the scene show passengers on the bus completely trapped and unable to get out due to the crash.
Currently, ScotRail has closed lines from Glasgow Central, and emergency services rushed to the scene to deal with the situation promptly. Scottish Fire and Rescue say they received a call about the crash just after 6pm on Saturday evening and are thought to have just left the scene.
