Luke Littler has admitted that he has ‘no idea’ what the iconic BBC news show is that he appears on every week.
The 17-year-old darts ace has become a national icon since he burst onto the scene 12 months ago. Littler was a point of conversation in last years World Darts Championship as he was playing at just 16. He went on to reach the final, attracting a whole new audience to the sport.
Have I Got News for You first hit people’s screens in 1990 – nearly two decades before he was born. Throughout it’s time, it has held itself as the top weekly quiz show in the UK. The staple BBC show is known for having a rotating line up of hosts and guests while Ian Hislop and Paul Merton have remained regular members for thirty years.

Kier Starmer, Donald Trump and Taylor Swift are just three examples of who you can spot on this years series. But you will also be able to see the Runcorn-born darts star on there too, but Littler would never have known himself.
Luke said: “I’ve not seen the show so I don’t know what it is. But for my face to be involved with Prime Ministers and Kings, I will take it in.
“It just goes to show how much I have done this year – and how much the sports has grown.”
Littler, who only left school last year, has racked up £1m in winnings as he spent 2024 proving that his World Darts Championship performance last year was not a fluke. Now looking to this years Championship which begins on Sunday (December 15th), Littler is the bookies’ favourite.
