Primark fans are divided over the cost of a new pj set that’s rocked up on the racks. A few shoppers reckon the price is “a bit much” for the bargain brand, but others are well chuffed with the cosy clothes.

Last month, when Primark dropped an £8 pj set with a cuddly teddy pattern, it caused quite the stir, selling faster than hotcakes and leaving shelves bare across the country. But the latest teddy gear seems to be just out of reach for some of the crowd.

The full look, featuring fluffy long trousers and coordinating teddy socks, was showcased on TikTok (@Liverpoolprimarktrends).

The unbuttoned top casually hung off one shoulder. But the price point raised eyebrows – each piece, the top and bottoms, comes with a £16 price tag, reports the Mirror.

Although buying separate means you can have a go at mixing things up, fans gagging for the full set are feeling like Primark’s pulling their leg.

The comments were a mixed bag, from hopeful to downright gobsmacked. One shopper chirped: “I loved this then I saw the price! I’ll wait for the sale! “

While another blasted: “£32 for PJs from Primark! ” One added: “Anyone else notice Primark is getting soon expensive now?”

One shopper was having none of it, saying: “As lovely as they are, and as warm as they may be, I’m not liking the price so I have to pass!”

Some Primark fans are totally unfazed by price tags, with one fashionista gushing on social media: “I’ve just got these, love them soooo cute an comfy.”

Another raved: “Got these yesterday, so comfy.”

In other news from Primark, the retailer is receiving accolades for items like a statement coat from Rita Ora’s collection, retailing at £40. The pop star, who has collaborated with the high street giant before, has designed a faux fur coat that has been described as “just looks so cosy”.

Additionally, with the festive season approaching, shoppers are flocking to Primark for their Christmas party outfits, with a £32 glitter co-ord catching eyes for its blend of “smart dressing and a dash of glamour”.
