Fans of the cranky Dr Seuss character will be at their element at Primark’s Grinch Cafe where a whole host of tasty treats are on offer in a very Christmassy setting
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without The Grinch. Superfans of the miserable monster will be in their element – if they happen to live anywhere near one of six Primark stores across the UK.
There, the cafes have been transformed into a green sugary paradise with lots of themed items on the menu. The Merry Grinchmas Waffle and Cindy-Lou Hoo Waffle are among the treats in store, along with ice cream shakes and hot drinks specials.
And fans of the mean-hearted season-spoiler can also enjoy a tasty lunch in the themed eatery. Cardboard cut-outs of the Grinch, and images of Max the dog, presents and stockings help to make it feel a little more festive.
And of course, Primark fans are loving the hype, with comments flooding social media including one saying: “I need to go here!”
Sarah Jackson, Director of Licensing at Primark, shared her excitement adding: “Our Grinch range is back and bigger than ever in stores!
“We’re so excited to roll out our amazing cafe experience across a number of our UK locations, bringing a sprinkle of mischief to our customers this festive season.
“Whether you’re stopping in for a sweet treat or stocking up on pyjamas and gifts for the whole family, we have everything you need to make it a truly unforgettable Grinch-mas!”

There is also a fully stocked cake cabinet, where you can grab a Grinch green cookie too.
Younger visitors will also get the opportunity to send a Letter to Santa courtesy of the Grinch – who stands guard by a special postbox at the counter. But we’re sure he won’t be disrupting the delivery of the letters, despite his anti-Christmas stance.
The Grinch was created by children’s writer Dr Seuss in How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, which was first published in 1957.
The book has been adapted many times, first as a 1966 animated TV film narrated by Boris Karloff.
A 2000 live-action feature saw Jim Carrey hilariously take on the role while in 2018 there was a hit animated film version released, starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the verdant menace.
