A thrifty mum has revealed how she bought her children’s Christmas gifts for under her £75 pressie limit. Mum Sarah shared a video on her sarah_falls_ TikTok account, showing off her financially-savvy buys for her three children.

In the video, which has now gone viral, the Australian explains that she gave herself a budget of $150 (£75) for all three of her children. She said: “My goal is to get everything I know they like and love, want and need for Christmas at local thrift shops.”

Sharing her buys, Sarah explained most of the toys she picked up were for her older children Arlo and Ella. This included a set of plastic food for 50p, and a plastic differ, also 50p, which they can use in their sandpit.

“I swear to God they filled up the toy shelves as I was there. Everything I picked up I was like ‘Arlo would love that, Ella would love that.’ Obviously there was a lot there,” she said.

She also nabbed a Peppa Pig hat for her son and two masks at 50p each. For her seven-month-old, Sarah found a plastic toy she could fill with fabric and a bath time toy. Both of these were also 50p.

For another 50p, Sarah picked up a ball-frisbee hybrid contraption which is thrown as a frisbee and pops back into a ball shape for catching.

For £5, she found a wooden train set both her sons could use and a small wooden cart with building blocks for £3.50.

She said: “I love when I find nice quality wooden toys.” The money-savvy mum also found a mini-digger toy, a water bottle, a skirt and an infant onesie.
