Donald Trump has suggested the government and military knows the exact origins of the drones over New Jersey. He said if they were enemy objects they would have been blasted
Donald Trump says the government knows what’s going on in New Jersey but wants to keep residents in suspense.
Skies over the tri-state area have been inundated with drones, with locals regularly reporting ‘car-sized’ flying objects over their properties. And while answers have not been forthcoming, speculation as to their origins has been rife. Tensions have also been high as both the Pentagon and Trenton officials offered vague responses to concerns about the peculiar UFOs that have been spotted numerous times across the state in recent weeks.
The unusual sightings over the Garden State prompted one US lawmaker to speculate that the drones could be Iranian spy aircraft, urging the military to shoot them down immediately.

Podcaster and commentator Joe Rogan even spoke out about his concerns, after an expert suggested the devices could be on the hunt for hazardous substances.

And others have suggested China might be behind these close encounters.
However, the president-elect Donald Trump has suggested that the Biden administration knows exactly what is going on and where they are coming from.
In a press conference he declared: “The government knows what is happening. Our military knows where they took off from. If it’s a garage they can go right into that garage.
“They know where it came from and where it went. And for some reason they don’t want to comment. And I think they’d be better off saying what it is.
“Our military knows and our president knows. And for some reason they want to keep people in suspense. I can’t imagine it’s the enemy, because if it was the enemy they’d blast it out, even if they were late they’d blast it.
“Something strange is going on. For some reason, they don’t want to tell the people. I mean they happen to be over Bedminster. They’re very close to Bedminster. I think maybe I won’t spend the weekend in Bedminster. I’ve decided to cancel my trip.”
On Sunday the Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas downplayed concerns about the drones.
He said that with looser regulations now allowing drone flights at night, “some of those drone sightings are, in fact, drones,” adding that “some are manned aircraft that are commonly mistaken for drones. And we do see duplicative reporting.”
During an interview with ABC News on Sunday, Mayorkas emphasised that the department has deployed personnel and technology “and if there is any reason for concern, if we identify any foreign involvement or criminal activity, we will communicate with the American people accordingly”.
