Oleksandr Usyk was spotted ‘spying’ on Tyson Fury from jet cockpit

The daunting face of heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk loomed over Tyson Fury as the Ukrainian ‘spied’ over the Brit from a plane cockpit.

The two boxers will come face-to-face again as they square up for their heavyweight rematch in Riyadh. Fury will be hoping to get his hands on Usyk’s WBC, WBA and WBO belts.

The Mancunian lost his first fight to his Ukrainian rival via split decision in May this year. This made Usyk the first four-belt undisputed heavyweight champion in the modern era of boxing.

Although boxing is a sport of tactics, Usyk looked to have taken his to a different level as he could be seen ‘spying’ over Fury as the Brit arrived into Saudi Arabia.

The fight which will take place on Saturday (December 21st) began with the fighters being introduced to Saudi at their “Grand Arrivals”. The boxers stepped off their private jet and walked onto a glimmering red carpet.

Fury arrived in full ‘Gypsy King’ attire as he stunted a tracksuit and trainers. Although the pictures were iconic with the Brit walking away from his jet, the haunting smile of Usyk could be spotted in the background.

The undisputed heavyweight champion managed to find his way into the cockpit of a jet. He then proceeded to open the window and stared down Fury. Although the Gypsy King was not aware of this, Usyk did not take his eyes off the fighter.

Usyk win’s over Fury last time out tarnished the Brit’s undefeated record. Now, the Manchester-born fighter will be aiming to destroy Usyk’s own undefeated tally.

Fury said: “I’m going to knock him out. I’m going to give Turki [Alalshikh] what I promised him in May, a cooked rabbit in his kitchen. That’s my promise.”

Usyk has also spoken out and stated: “Yeah, my fans can expect something similar again. But, we may switch a few things up a little bit. My team and I have a few secrets for Saturday.”

The fight takes place this Saturday in Riyadh. Ring walks are expected around 10pm UK time. There will be eight undercard fights.
