Fraser Forster does ‘some of the Spurs stuff you’ll ever see’ in Man Utd howler

Fraser Forster was slammed by Gary Neville as committing one of the ‘most Tottenham moments of all time’ as his howler cost Tottenham against Manchester United

Amad Diallo capitalised on Fraser Foster’s error

Fraser Forster committed one of the most ‘Tottenham moments’ of all-time against Manchester United.

Forster was left with his head in his hands after he committed two howlers in seven minutes – the second was the worst of the pair as he lingered on the ball.

“It’s a horrible moment for Forster,” said Rob Hawthorne, who was on commentary for Sky Sports. “He has presented a second goal to Manchester United, to Amad Diallo, it’s turning into a nightmare for the Tottenham goalkeeper!

“And strap yourselves in now, because we’re in for a rollercoaster. Spurs‘ 3-0 lead has just evaporated.” Gary Neville added: “This is one of the most Tottenham things you’ll ever see. You’d almost have United favourites, you can smell…

“And what are they doing? They’re passing the ball backwards all the time! Fraser Foster. Oh Fraser, he think’s he’s got more time; he think’s he’s got an age! But Amad, he closes down with unbelievable tenacity… And he goes for it!”

Tottenham had been cruising into the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup when Forster received a backpass in his own six-yard box and plays a pass to his right without even looking to see where the United players are.

Bruno Fernandes was lurking and he played it Joshua Zirkzee to roll into an open net. United grew into the game after their second, but any hope was quickly put to death as Son Heung-min scored directly from a corner.
