Supporters mocked Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez after he rushed Tottenham captain Son Heung-min to take a corner that he ended up scoring from.
Spurs emerged victorious from Thursday’s Carabao Cup quarter-final clash that saw a chaotic match eventually end 4-3, with United exiting the competition in dramatic circumstances.
End-to-end action produced a thrilling spectacle with Son involved in the thick of the things as he scored Tottenham’s fourth goal with a strike that eventually proved to be the winner.
His goal was the most bizarre out of the seven that were scored across 90 minutes with players on both teams left stunned as Son watched his corner go in without receiving a touch from another player.
The South Korean’s delivery was put right on top of United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir who flapped at the ball but was unable to stop it looping over him before claiming he had been fouled.
Bayindir had been slightly obstructed in his attempt to punch the corner away but it wasn’t enough for the referee to chalk off the goal with Spurs later going on to win the match.

Son took his time and then watched in amazement seconds later as he scored direct from the corner, much to the delight of his Tottenham team-mates who mobbed the winger in celebration.
