Sky Sports darts and boxing presenter Anna Woolhouse has shared a moving tribute to her late brother Harry on social media.

Woolhouse, who is currently front and centre of Sky Sports’ coverage of the PDC World Darts Championship at the Alexandra Palace, took to social media on Monday to upload a tribute to Harry Woolhouse, who died back in 2014.

Harry, who was 32, died in a Malaysian bus crash, after the double-decker span out in slippery conditions to plunge 15 metres down and into a gorge. Posting a photo of her brother, Woolhouse added a timely tribute to her late sibling.

“Missed every day. Happy Heavenly Birthday H x,” wrote Woolhouse on Instagram, with the photo depicting Harry on a beach swigging from a bottle of water.

Writing on Facebook back in 2014 about the sad death of his son, Anna and Harry’s dad, Christopher, wrote: “The way the news came to us was that my daughter got a message on Facebook and that is the first we knew about it.

“Harry did more in 30 years than most. I might have expected him to die during his climbing or snowboarding or something like that, not to be killed in a bus.”

Woolhouse is not the only Sky Sports presenter to have issued a tribute to a loved one following their passing during the PDC tournament at the Alexandra Palace this year.

Prior to the beginning of the 2024 edition of the Worlds, it was confirmed commentator Wayne Mardle would be taking an extended break from covering the darts after the passing of his wife Donna following a short battle with illness.

Speaking on the opening night after the news of Donna’s passing broke, Sky Sports presenter Emma Paton issued a loving and emotional tribute to Donna and Wayne. “Wayne is the heart and soul of darts and everything we do,” said Paton.

“But the heart and soul of his world, his wife Donna, sadly passed away earlier this week after a short illness. We will be remembering Donna throughout this tournament.

“Wayne, you’re in our thoughts. You’re in our hearts. We love you very much. And we will see you very soon.”
