Pub goers will be able to get their hands on a wide range of drinks for less than £1
Pub enthusiasts can look forward to a January Sale at 770 Wetherspoon pubs from Thursday, January 2 until Thursday, January 16 inclusive (Friday, January 3 until Thursday, January 16 inclusive in Scotland). A whopping 750 of these pubs will be serving pints of beer priced between 99p and £1.49.
The sale includes real ale (Worthington’s, Ruddles, Greene King and Doom Bar), Coldwater Creek wine (250ml glass of Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Rose, Merlot), a variety of low and alcohol-free drinks (Guinness 0/0%, 0% cocktails, Gordon’s pink gin 0.0% (served with a mixer), Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Heineken 0.0, Erdinger, Thatchers zero, Koppaberg Alcohol Free, Adnams Ghost Ship, Beck’s Blue) and a selection of soft drinks including Pepsi Max, Pepsi Max Cherry, R. Whites Lemonade.
Lavazza coffee, tea and hot chocolate, including free refills, will also be on offer all day every day. Average sale prices across the pubs include a pint of Worthington’s at 99p, a pint of Ruddles or Greene King at £1.29, a pint of Belhaven at £1.49 and a pint of Doom Bar at £1.49.
Over 650 of the pubs will be offering a glass of Coldwater Creek wine (250ml) for £2.49 and nearly all of the pubs will be serving low and alcohol-free drinks for £1.49. Additionally, 660 of the pubs will serve Lavazza coffee, tea and hot chocolate (including refills) for just £1.29.
Hungry customers can also indulge in discounted food, including three breakfast options for just £2.99. These include a variety of muffins, sausage or bacon butties, and breakfast wraps – with vegetarian alternatives available.
Each breakfast deal comes with unlimited refills of hot drinks and a choice of 30 soft drinks. Additionally, three burger meal deals are on offer, featuring a 3oz American burger, classic beef burger, or Crunchy chicken strip burger, accompanied by chips and a drink.
Normally, these meals would cost an average of £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage or £4.99 with a soft drink. Wetherspoon’s founder and chairman, Tim Martin, explained: “Department stores and shops hold their sales in January, so it is the perfect time to have a sale in the pubs too. ” “The range of drinks and food on sale in the pubs is aimed at suiting a wide variety of tastes.
“This year we have included our biggest selection of low and non-alcoholic drinks. I believe that the January Sale will prove popular with our customers.”
