Richard Keys has given an update on his hair transplant after taking his barnet to the British Hair Clinic in Essex in July, having previously branded himself as the “once-hairiest man on TV”
Richard Keys revealed his hair transplant journey after visiting the British Hair Clinic in Essex back in July.
The former Sky Sports decided to tackle his receding hairline head-on, a far-cry from Keys’ previously dubbing himself the “once-hairiest man on TV”.
Fast forward five months and the 67-year-old is chuffed with the sprouting success he now sports live on TV with further growth set to come.

The British Hair Clinic came highly recommended by none other than ex-Liverpool star Jason McAteer and talkSPORT’s very own Sam Matterface. A clip from the clinic made the rounds this summer, capturing Keys stating: “The once-hairiest man on TV has done a little bit today to restore his reputation.”
Keys can see the funny side, having spent years attempting to remove hair from his body, only to now be seeking a hairline transformation, reports the Mirror.
He quipped: “What an irony that someone who spent his lifetime trying to remove hair finds himself in the British Hair Clinic looking for them to add hair. I mean, you couldn’t make it up really. But here we are.
“At the direction of Jason McAteer, who’s been through this process and looks well for it – at least that’s what he told me – and Sam Matterface, a very good friend of mine who I worked with at talkSPORT for a while. Sam, I spoke to this morning, and he said: ‘Brilliant, easy, you’ll love it’.”
In the clip, Keys is seen peering into the mirror as he checks out his new hairline drawn on with ink, giving a sneak peek of his fresh new look.
The presenter, now a face on beIN SPORTS, hasn’t shied away from stirring the pot with his usual fiery takes, especially on his online blog. This week, he’s had a pop at Pep Guardiola, whose Manchester City squad has seemingly hit rock bottom this season, sparking debates about their veteran players.

He blasted: “The re-build should’ve started 18 months ago. And don’t tell me I’m being smart after the event. How many times did we watch Fergie realise big players were on the cusp of losing their power – so he got rid of them?
“Remember – 13 titles in 27 seasons. Never – ever were United scrambling around in seventh with a record of four points from 24 available. If they didn’t finish top they generally finished second.”
