Move over Paul the Octopus, there’s a new psychic animal in town.
Truffles the pig, from Ouseburn Farm in Newcastle, comes from the same farm as Suzie who, in her time, correctly picked Italy to win Euro 2020. And it’s now Truffles’ time to summon her mystic powers.
During a visit organised by Darts Corner, Truffles was presented with four buckets of feed labelled with the names of the tournament favourites – Luke Humphries, Luke Littler, Gary Anderson and Michael van Gerwen.
And the psychic pig might soon be giving spoon-bender Uri Gellar a run for his money as she immediately picked Humphries’ bucket. The defending World Champion made light-work of his opening clash with Frenchman Thibault Tricole.
However, Truffles wasn’t done there and she then picked Littler as her second favourite. Littler and Humphries are on the same side of the draw and they will have to meet before the final.

Truffles named Van Gerwen, who is on the other side of the draw, as her third favourite and Anderson as her fourth.
The pig’s predictions already look to coming true too – with Gary Anderson losing to Jeffrey de Graaf in the second round.
Craig Heenighan, Managing Director of Darts Corner, shared his thoughts on Truffle’s predictions:“We absolutely loved visiting Truffle to see who she predicts as the winner of the 2024/25 PDC World Darts Championship.
“After his success last year, we weren’t surprised to see her pick the current world champion, Luke Humphries. With all eyes on his performance, he’ll be under immense pressure to defend his title. Still, we – and Truffle – have no doubt he’ll deliver a stellar performance.”
