Police forces on either side of London are urgently asking for information on the whereabouts of a 16-year-old girl who vanished from her home in Watford on Christmas Eve
A 16-year-old girl has been missing since Christmas Eve. Police have issued an urgent appeal for sightings and clues which may lead to Leyla’s whereabouts.
Leyla from Watford, Hertfordshire, is reported to have vanished from her home at around 1am on Tuesday morning. She has links to Sutton on the other side of London .
According to Herts Police, Leyla disappeared while wearing brown Ugg boots, black trousers, a black vest top, and a knee length coat with cream fur, the Watford Observer reports.
The force’s Christmas day appeal on X, formerly Twitter, has so far been viewed by 15,000 people and shared by 300 of them.
Captioning the post, Herts Police wrote: “Have you seen #missing 16 year old Leyla? Last seen in #Watford at around 1am this morning. She has links to #Sutton in London. Please call 101 with information or 999 if you are with her now.”
Addressing those living in the Sutton area where Leyla has connections with, South Area – Croydon shared the appeal on Boxing Day, adding: “Police are concerned about Leyla’s whereabouts and family would like her home.”
