Molly-Mae Hague‘s fans have questioned if her breakup with Tommy Fury was a publicity stunt after the former couple were pictured kissing on New Year’s Eve.

The Love Island stars, both 25, announced their split in August as their relationship was marred by rumours that the boxer has cheated. He denied the claims.

However, this week they were seen packing on the PDA at Manchester United footballer Luke Shaw‘s Hogmanay party in Cheshire, seemingly rekindling their romance.

Fans of Molly-Mae were quick to brand the breakup a ‘PR tool’ claiming the ‘stunt’ helped further Tommy’s book and documentary as well as Molly-Mae’s clothing line.

When the influencer, 25, shared a new photo of herself to Instagram on Friday, her followers shared their doubts in the comments section.

‘They didn’t even really split, money money money,’ one fumed.

MailOnline has contacted Molly-Mae’s representative for comment.

In the aftermath of their split in August Tommy’s reputation became marred by cheating rumours, he lost 20,000 Instagram followers in response – a huge blow to the boxer and social media influencer who monetises off his platforms.

Outside of boxing, much like his ex-fiancée, Tommy has explored various ventures and released his memoir, Lightning Can Strike Twice: My Life as a Fury, in October.

He confirmed he was set to lift the lid about his split from Molly-Mae in a new chapter in the upcoming autobiography.

Following talks with publishers amid his shock break-up with the influencer Tommy made changes to his book and said he would address the reasons for the split.

Taking to his Instagram Stories the sportsman told fans it had not been ‘easy’, before confirming his book would contain an ‘extra chapter ‘to reflect on ‘current’ events in his life.

It had been reported that Tommy quietly set up a new business on his own before his split from Molly-Mae was confirmed.

He set up investment firm Fury Properties Ltd, to look after his portfolio assets independently from his former fiancée in March.

The former couple have been known to keep their businesses and accounts separate and own their own properties.

Meanwhile, Molly-Mae focused on her clothing line, which also launched in October, telling MailOnline she was looking forward to a ‘new era’ in her life after the split.

In an exclusive interview the influencer said she felt ’emotional’ but was channeling all her energy into the couple’s one-year-old daughter, Bambi, and her new clothing line Maebe.

She told of how the past six months have been a juggling act and she has found parenting as well as running her existing businesses ‘tricky.’

But navigating the launch of her fashion label alongside the end of her five-year relationship has given Molly the chance to focus on the next chapter as she admits: ‘It was really good timing for this to happen for me. It has all just aligned perfectly.’

Molly told MailOnline: ‘When I became a mum, I changed a lot as a person and different things became important to me in terms of fashion, it was the right time to launch Maebe. I was really ready to sink my teeth into something new.

‘I have a really good feeling about this new era of my life and think it’s going to be so special and a great thing for me to focus on and put my time into as well as being a mum to Bambi.

‘It was really good timing for this to happen for me. It has all just aligned perfectly really. I am so excited about it… I really do have an amazing feeling about the brand. I see Maebe having a huge future.’

Over the summer, Molly-Mae shared the shock news that she had split from fiancé Tommy following months of off and on again speculation

It was a landmark moment in Molly’s career after she spent years lending her name to brands such as Beauty Works and PrettyLittleThing, where she even stepped up as creative director in 2021.

Over the summer, Molly-Mae shared the shock news that she had split from fiancé Tommy following months of off and on again speculation.

Reports at the time claimed Tommy was dumped by her after he ‘cheated on her with a Danish woman he met’ on a holiday in North Macedonia.

Addressing the rumours he said: ‘All the allegations that were made of me recently are completely false. The truth will come out in time and when it does I think a lot of people might regret their actions and unkind words.

‘What the public thinks is going on isn’t what is going on. It’s not something I envisaged happening, but it didn’t come out of nowhere. It’s a thing that was there previously to all this happening, but the only people who know what is going on in our relationship is me and Molly.’

This week, in pictures obtained by The Sun, Molly and Tommy were seen kissing as the clock hit midnight after ‘flirting all night’.

The kiss comes after Molly admitted she has faced the ‘lowest of lows’ in 2024 as she reflected on her ‘roller coaster’ year following the couple’s shock split in summer following claims the boxer cheated.

The couple attempted to keep their reunion secret at the party by posting separately ahead of the lavish bash thrown by the England player.

Molly is close friends with Luke’s partner Anouska Santos who supported her during the break-up.

A source told The Sun that the pair ‘were all over each other’ at the New Year’s bash after Molly invited Tommy ‘last minute’ but she is not ‘ready to launch something official’.

They said: ‘Things are still delicate but they’ve had some long, difficult conversations over the past few weeks and, finally, are in a great place.

‘Molly-Mae decided to invite Tommy fairly last minute. It was all very low-key. The pair were very flirty all night and it’s clear their physical attraction remains strong.

‘They were all over each other as the compère counted down to midnight — it was very cute to see.

‘But Molly-Mae isn’t ready to launch into something officially yet. She has been very hurt in the past six months, and understandably feels pretty burned.’

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Molly-Mae wished her followers well for 2025 as she looked back on the ’emotional roller coaster’ she experienced last year.

She wrote: ‘Happy New Year everyone. I keep trying to write down how I feel about 2024, but honestly, I can’t quite find the words [laughing emoji]?’

‘It’s been such a whirlwind, it’s given me some of the highest highs but also some of the lowest lows. It’s been one big emotional rollercoaster to say the least.’

The influencer, who first started dating Tommy on Love Island in 2019, added she was feeling positive about the coming year.
