The nightclub owning party legend has revealed his unusually specific way to get over a hangover as he admits to having a minimum of 150 hangovers each season in Ibiza
Wayne Lineker has shared his secret to surviving those notorious Ibiza hangovers. The club owner, 62, calls himself the “king of the hangover” in a new video he posted to his Instagram.
In a newly released video, Lineker admits to have minimum 150 hangovers each season in Ibiza but thanks to his top tip, they never last long. Lineker said he drinks a whole vodka RedBull in 15 seconds.
In the post, he says: “I’m the king of the hangover every single season, minimum 150 hangovers. There’s a special secret you need to have. That is you need to drink a vodka Redbull in 15 seconds, large Vodka, full can of Redbull and you will be 100% back in the game. But before I do that, you think I’m going to drink out of a clear glass. Get it ready for the morning, guys, because you’ll need it. Cheers.”
As he swaps his drink from a clear glass to one of his signature Ocean Beach orange cups before downing the drink.
He added: “Get it ready for the morning guys because you’ll need it.”
In the caption, Lineker wrote: “I am not proud of this but I will accept its unique 150 hangovers every summer season in this crazy industry for 38 years ..So if anybody knows how to cure them then it’s me. Secret is large vodka ( 3 uk measures ) full can red bull and drink the lot in less than 15 seconds. #happynewyearsday #byebyehangover.”
But some commentators aren’t convinced. One wrote “thanks for your advice not sure why NHS doesnt advise this.” While another just said “you’re 62 mate, give it a rest.”
The nightclub lothario told podcast host Josh James that doctors are stunned by how healthy he is, considering he parties for around 170 days straight each year.
Lineker’s legendary pool party venue the O Beach Ibiza club has become a popular hangout for influencers and VIP clientele alike with pop stars Ed Sheeran and Lewis Capaldi, TV presenter Maya Jama and footballer Jack Grealish among its clientele.
He kicked off his nightlife empire in 1988 with sports bars called Lineker’s Bar. He now has branches in the Costa de Sol, Majorca, Puerto Banas and Ibiza.
Lineker has over 1.1 million followers on Instagram where he regularly posts updates from his clubs and with his friends. Wayne has three son – Duane, Sean and Freddie and one daughter named Tia. Duane has followed in his dad’s footsteps and now runs O Beach Ibiza, with the help of his younger brother Sean.
Tia is a model and influencer with over 567K followers and regularly works with big brands including PrettyLittleThing and Pandora.
