Banned Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk has received another blow with him said to have been dumped by a Russian model who has headed on romantic break with a former Premier League ace
Mykhailo Mudryk has reportedly been dumped by a Russian model who headed on a romantic getaway with a former Premier League star.
The Chelsea flop has found himself in the spotlight in recent weeks with him involved in a doping scandal but it appears he’s received a blow in his love life too. Mudryk is currently sidelined after being hit with a provisional suspension.
Mudryk and Chelsea are waiting anxiously to find out the results of the B-sample the Ukrainian produced after the A-sample provided a positive result for a banned substance in late October.
The B-sample potentially holds his career in the balance, with a positive test confirming the original test and could lead to a four-year ban. The winger has denied any wrongdoing.
But his life away from the pitch has seemingly taken a painful hit too with reports from Game, Set & Match via The Sun claiming he has been dumped by Russian fitness model Violetta Bert. Mudryk had been linked with Bert in recent months but had never gone public in their relationship.
It’s now claimed that Bert has ditched Mudryk and headed on a romantic trip with former Leeds United midfielder Weston McKennie. The USA international spent six months on loan at Elland Road from Juventus, who he still plays for.
Bert and McKennie are said to have travelled to France for a getaway to the renowned Courchevel ski resort. It’s been revealed that the pair began following each other on social media in October and have been liking the other’s posts since.
The account compared pictures uploaded on McKennie and Bert’s Instagram stories, showing that they had been to Courchevel at the same time but there were no pictures or tags of the two together, possibly making it just a very soft launch of their relationship.
Bert has also unfollowed Mudryk on Instagram, seemingly confirming that their relationship is a thing of the past, adding to a tough two years for Mudryk in England following his £88million move to Stamford Bridge two Januarys ago.
The 24-year-old has failed to live up to expectations and his provisional ban is a huge concern for his career.
Following the announcement of his positive test, Mudryk defended himself on Instagram. “I can confirm that I have been notified that a sample I provided to The FA contained a banned substance,” he wrote.
“This has come as a complete shock as I have never knowingly used any banned substances or broken any rules, and am working closely with my team to investigate how this could have happened.
“I know that I have not done anything wrong and remain hopeful that I will be back on the pitch soon. I cannot say any more now due to the confidentiality of the process, but I will as soon as I can.”
