Morgan Gibbs-White had the perfect response to a small section of the Wolves support on Monday evening.
Gibbs-White, 24, was part of the Nottingham Forest side that continued their red-hot streak of form as Wolves were put to the sword. And it was Gibbs-White that got the party started after a small-section of the Wolves fans directed chants at the attacker.
Chants of “your girlfriend’s a s***” were heard in the early stages of the clash every time Gibbs-White touched the ball. And after he scored, he ran to the corner flag and putting his fingers in his ears, blocking out the taunts about his girlfriend, Britney De Villiers.
When asked about the celebration, he told Optus Sports: “I think it always has the same meaning. Just block out whatever they say. But I don’t mind it.
“It sort of gives me that edge and more motivation to do better and succeed. But I love it. I think this is what is part of football. The fans really enjoying it, giving stick, and then us performing on the pitch.
“I’m just more than happy that the boys got the three points tonight.”
